The Arts Education Partnership is dedicated to advancing the arts in education through research, policy and practice. The Arts Education Partnership is dedicated to advancing the arts in education through research, policy and practice towards a time where every student in America succeeds in school, work and life as a result of a high-quality education in and through the arts. The Arts Education Partnership reviewed multiple research studies identified within ArtsEdSearch — a national clearinghouse of rigorous arts education research — to better understand the role visual arts play in student success. Thirty-two states define the arts as a core or academic subject. AEP is grateful for the partnership of the State Education Agency Directors of Arts Education in support of this project. AEP has been supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and the U.S. Department of Education since 1995 and is administered by Education Commission of the States. The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) is a private, nonprofit coalition of education, arts, business, philanthropic, and government organizations that was formed in 1995 through a cooperative agreement among four agencies: the NEA, the U.S. Education Department, the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, and the Council of Chief State School Officers.
